Only in a moment! Now let me introduce the forming process of the paper cup
First of all, the paper used to make paper containers must be food grade paper. Most of the food grade paper is imported from Europe and America, which is the best grade among the paper materials. Then, it is necessary to coat the paper surface with oil-water resistant material through the process of coating before the continuous forming step can be carried out.
Coating is to attach a thin layer of plastic material on the paper, so that the paper cup can be resistant to oil and water, and can hold drinks and soup food for a long time. The selection of this coating material is also related to the characteristics of subsequent paper cups. This is the step to make the cup strong and beautiful.
After coating, the required pattern and color will be printed on the paper roll. Printing methods can be divided into gravure, convex plate and flat plate. The cost of gravure is too high, so it is seldom used now; Convex plate printing is continuous printing on paper roll, which requires a large amount of printing. In lithography, the paper is cut into pieces and then printed, which is suitable for manufacturing small quantities of products. After the ink is finished, a layer of water gloss treatment will be printed for protection.
Some manufacturers use the method of "printing in ink", printing first and then coating, and coating the ink in the coating. This method has higher consumption rate and higher cost. However, no matter what kind of printing method, the container printing materials in contact with food must be food grade to ensure the safety of food.
The printed paper enters the knife mold to make fan-shaped pieces of paper, that is, the unfolded shape of the wall of the paper cup. These fan-shaped pieces of paper are collected and sent to the forming machine, and then the paper is rolled into a paper cup shape outside the cup mold. At the same time, the mold provides heat at the seams of the paper, so that the PE is thermally damaged and bonded to each other, and the bottom of the paper cup is then bonded. Next, the mold pushes the cup mouth, and the paper at the cup mouth is rolled down and fixed by heat, forming the cup edge of the paper cup. These molding steps can be completed in one second.
The finished paper cup is sent to the testing machine to confirm whether the shape is complete without damage and the internal surface is clean without stains. The finished paper cup will enter the packaging process and wait for shipment.
